Hello all. Violet here.

Well today is probably going to be as follows:

1. Clean house for Olaf.

2. Visit Justice Straus.

3. Clean for Olaf.

4. Watch Olaf sleep.

5. Make dinner for Olaf and troupe.

Actually, that is the exact list he left for us. But.. He left out the visit with the Justice. But of course we will be visiting her anyway.

Four days left before we excape from Count Olaf's house. I can't wait.. But yet I tremble at the thought of being alone in this cold world.

Well Klaus had to clean out the cellar through the attic of Olaf's house because there were rats EVERYWHERE! Absolutely, no doubt that this house is overrun.

What is this I am on? Xanga? Oh yes...seems quite futuristic if you ask me. But I am not too good on the Internet so you will have to excuse it.

Okay, Olaf is heading up the stairs, rehearsing his lines. So I leave you with this:

"The difference between genius and stupidity, is that genius has it's limits." --Albert Einstein.

Sincerely,

V. Baudelaire

PS. I have just been givin a free trial of...Premium? Hmm...sounds like my journal entries are going to be looking alot different for the next 20 days!

Good day.

Here I am again.

Can you believe it's only been one month since we moved in with Count Olaf? I certainly can't. It seems forever since our parents were alive and well.

Sunny and Klaus, of course, are asleep. I'm usually the only one awake at this hour. So, Olaf is asleep...which is usually a good thing. Sort of. See, if Count Olaf is asleep, it means I can basically do whatever I want.

Hmm...I wonder who is coming up the stairs. At this point I don't care. Wait...possibly it's Klaus because I can't find him in our room. Wow...Klaus has grown up to be so intelligent. Sunny has grown quite a bit too. She can't say real words but at least she talks.

Well I can hear Count Olaf talking in his sleep which means he's about to wake up, so I better go.

Sincerely,

V. Baudelaire

Here I am again. Klaus says we can excape from Count Olaf's house in exactly one week. I'm pretty sure he's talking this way because Olaf just smacked him across the face.

This entry may be cut short by Olaf's henchwoman-The Powdered Faced Women.

Sadly, they don't know our names. Olaf says that we can have one contact with Mr. Poe once a week. Mr. Poe never understands our needs. He didn't seem them when our parents were alive...now he doesn't see them now that they're dead.

The fire's ruins blew over the lake. We can see the ashes. But of course, we cannot see the lake form Olaf's house. So we must excape and gaze at the lake.

I certainly hope for a brighter tomorrow. Sunny is falling asleep in my lap. And besides..Olaf's henchman-The hook handed man is walking up the stairs to our bedroom--so I must sign out.

Till we meet again-Wish for a brighter tomorrow and hold on to your hope...never let it go. Hope may fade...but dreams don't.

Sincerely,

V. Baudelaire

Alone I weep...Oh no...I hear Count Olaf's heaving breaths coming up the stairs...I must go.

Until we meet again...the fate of tomorrow always lies in your hands...

Sincerely,

V. Baudelaire
